Torre Sculptural Tower

The Torre Sculptural Tower is built from bent ash plywood, a technique that creates continuous curves without joints or seams. Dutch designer Regina Mol drew its silhouette around feline behavior: the enclosed lower section appeals to cats' hiding instinct, while the elevated platform satisfies their need to survey a room from height.
The scratching surface uses design felt composed of 90% wool and 10% polyester, dense enough to withstand sustained use. MiaCara manufactures the tower in Germany, where it's also assembled. The ash comes in natural or black-stained finishes, each showing the wood's grain rather than concealing it.
Two sizes accommodate different spaces and cat preferences. The smaller version stands 70cm tall. The larger reaches 110cm, enough height for most cats to feel genuinely elevated. Both share a 45cm diameter footprint, which fits corner placement without demanding significant floor space.
A practical note: the wool felt will collect fur and requires occasional vacuuming rather than wet cleaning. The wooden surfaces wipe clean with a damp cloth. Cushions for the top platform are sold separately, an honest acknowledgment that not every cat wants padding, and those that do have preferences worth accommodating.
The form is simple enough to read as furniture rather than pet equipment. Regina Mol's stated intention was visibility without visual compromise.
