Neko Dining Set
Product Details
The porcelain bowls in this cat feeding set are made by Secca, a design collective based in Kanazawa, Japan's historic center of craft and culinary tradition. The clay is high-strength porcelain, glazed by hand. Each piece fires slightly differently, so no two are identical.
The bowl shapes reference the crescent moon. The curved rims serve a function: they keep whiskers clear of the edges during feeding. The food bowl's interior slopes inward, guiding kibble or wet food toward the center where it stays accessible. The water bowl holds 280ml and sits deep enough to reduce splashing.
Both bowls are microwave and dishwasher safe. The crescent edges double as grip points for easy removal and cleaning.
This set is designed for use with the Karimoku Cat Table, a raised oak feeding stand with a 15-degree incline developed under veterinary guidance. The angle reduces neck strain during eating. The table itself weighs 1.5kg, heavy enough that most cats cannot tip it. A urethane finish protects the oak veneer from water and food stains.
One note: the porcelain may occasionally show small iron spots or pinholes from the firing process. These are characteristic of handmade ceramics, not defects.
The set ships complete, no assembly required. Made in Japan. The Kaiseki Dining Table is not included on this set.
