Cosima Alpine Coat

The Cosima Alpine Coat uses a synthetic down alternative that insulates more effectively than natural down at the same weight. The outer shell is 100% recycled polyester with a polyurethane membrane bonded to the back, creating a waterproof barrier without the bulk typical of winter dog coats. MiaCara's in-house design team developed the pattern in Germany.
The cut includes stretch panels at the front legs, polyamide and elastane blended at 80/20. This allows a full gait without binding. Dogs that run hard in cold weather will notice the difference. Elastic leg loops accommodate varying chest shapes without requiring precise sizing.
A double-adjustable zipper runs the length of the coat, opening from either end. This means the coat fits over most harness styles without modification. Reflective strips and a printed logo provide visibility in low light, though not full 360-degree coverage.
The DWR water-repellent treatment is PFC-free, an environmental consideration for owners who care about such things. Machine washable at 30°C, though the manufacturer advises against fabric softener and tumble drying.
Worth noting: the coat runs small. If measurements fall between sizes, size up. Ten sizes cover back lengths from 25cm to 73cm, which accommodates most breeds from miniature dachshunds to large retrievers.
