Onsen Private Suite

The Onsen Private Suite is a litter box enclosure built from oak and oak veneer, finished with a transparent coating that lets the wood grain show through. Karimoku manufactures each unit in Japan and ships it fully assembled.
The structure provides cats with an enclosed space for elimination. Cats prefer privacy when using the litter box, and the enclosed design addresses this instinct while containing scattered litter. Double doors open outward for cleaning access. A side compartment stores litter bags, deodorizing sheets, and a scoop hook.
Ventilation channels built into the enclosure allow air circulation to prevent odor buildup. The interior accommodates most commercial system-style litter boxes, though the litter box itself is not included. Interior dimensions allow for units up to 463mm wide and 567mm deep.
The top surface supports up to 30kg, enough to function as a side table or plant stand. The walnut finish option uses timber from one of the three woods traditionally classified among the world's prestige hardwoods, alongside teak and mahogany. Walnut darkens and develops depth over years of use as the tannins in the wood oxidize.
One practical note: the interior fits a single cat comfortably. Multi-cat households would need more than one unit.
The piece weighs 18.2kg. Heavy enough to stay put when a cat enters at speed.
